# Since October 1998, the response time to call-outs for Type A+ and Type A Casevac has been reduced from 20 minutes to 15 minutes. The search and rescue call-outs have also been further categorised into inshore and offshore with response times dependent on actual time of call-out as follows :-
    Inshore SAR (0700 - 1759) - reduced from 45 to 20 minutes.
    Inshore SAR (1800 - 2159) - remains the same (i.e., 45 minutes).
  * Inshore SAR (2200 - 0659) - extended from 1 hour and 15 minutes to 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Offshore SAR (0700 - 2159) - remains the same (i.e., 45 minutes).
  * Offshore SAR (2200 - 0659) - extended from 1 hour and 15 minutes to 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  * Extra travelling time is required for additional crews to reach the GFS Headquarters at Chek Lap Kok when called to assist in an emergency situation between 2200 - 0659. Figures for 1997 and 1998 (January to September) are based on previous response time.
