A group of 21 mentees from the Strive and Rise Programme visited us on 25 May 2024.
The Strive and Rise Programme is tripartite collaboration effort between the Government, the business sector and the community which aims to help mentees , who are mainly Secondary One to Secondary Four students from underprivileged families, broaden their horizons, reinforce their self-confidence, develop a positive outlook on life, set goals for their future and strive for upward mobility.
The visit began with an informative presentation by GFS representatives, who explained the Department's missions, functions, and the importance of our work. The mentees learned about the GFS fleet, including helicopters and fixed-wing aircrafts, and how these resources are utilized in our various search and rescue , firefighting, medical evacuations missions, and law enforcement operations.
