SAREX with US Naval Ship

On 28^th July 2007, a US Naval ship hosted the Hong Kong Government Flying Service for a joint search and rescue exercise 40 kilometers south of Hong Kong, involving one Jetstream aeroplane and one superpuma helicopter. The GFS helicopter carried out landing practice and a rescue winching exercise with the US Naval Ship. This is the first time a GFS helicopter practiced rescue winching from a US Naval Ship.
