On 9 March, we were thrilled to have signed a Memorandum of Administrative Arrangements (MAA) with the Hong Kong Air Cadet Corps (HKACC), signifying the start of the next chapter in our long-term partnership with the HKACC. Starting from 1 April 2024, the HKACC will become a youth uniformed group subvented by the GFS.

The signing ceremony were attended by more than 200 people, including members from both organisations and distinguished guests from the Security Bureau and Liaison Office of the Central People's Government. We were honoured to have Mr. Michael Cheuk, the Under Secretary for Security, Mr. Edwin Lau, the Chairman of the Executive Board of the HKACC, and Captain West Wu, the Controller of the GFS, witnessed the signing of the MAA. The agreement was signed by Captain Eddie Liu, Chief Pilot (Operations) of the GFS, and Mr. Chan Man Lang, Commanding Officer of the HKACC.

After the signing ceremony, the HKACC members showcased their talents with an impressive marching and pipe band performance. Guests, accompanied by the HKACC cadets, were then given a guided tour of the hangar, helicopter flight simulator, and the flight simulation training centre.

We are looking forward to a close partnership with the HKACC. We will strengthen our support to the HKACC and work together to nurture the next generation, instilling them with positive values and aspirations to serve our society in the future.
