The Government Flying Service (GFS) hosted the inaugural International Symposium on Emergency Response and Aeromedical Services (ISERAS) in Hong Kong from June 16 to 18. Over the three-day event, ISERAS showcased Hong Kong's strengths and expertise in emergency response and aeromedical services, providing a valuable platform to enhance the professional standing of the GFS and share Hong Kong's success stories with the world.
The three-day symposium brought together leading experts, representatives from accredited organisations, and policymakers from countries and regions including Australia, Austria, the Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, and the United Kingdom to jointly explore the latest developments and future directions of aeromedical services and emergency response.
Participants had the opportunity to gain in-depth insights into the latest developments in aeromedical rescue and emergency care through a series of plenary sessions, panel discussions, technical visits, and live demonstrations jointly conducted by the GFS and various government emergency units. The event facilitated global professional dialogue and the sharing of best practices, while showcasing Hong Kong's professional prowess as an aviation hub for emergency response in Asia.
