Part-time Senior Engineering Support Officer (Quality Assurance)

Entry Requirements

Candidates should have:
(a) At least 10 years of aircraft maintenance experience. In which at least 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience is related to the EC155B1, EC175B, DA42NG and CL605 aircraft models;
(b) At least 5 years of experience in Goods Inward Inspection (GII) of aircraft parts;
(c) Held current Government Flying Service Workshop Authorization (Q1) or equivalent;
(d) Conversant with computer systems of CAMPIS IAS and Envision, and
(e) Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.

Duties

(a) Act as a Store Inspector to perform GII in strict accordance with Engineering Procedure Manuals in Kai Tak Division (KTD) and Chek Lap Kok (CLK);
(b) Supervise technical staff in performing GII in bid for gaining practical experience;
(c) Develop, deliver, and oversee training modules for technical staff in relation to aircraft maintenance, Quality Assurance (QA) processes, and GII procedures; and
(d) Provide direct mentorship to junior engineers and technicians to accelerate their competency in airworthiness regulations.

Terms of Appointment

The successful candidate will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms on part-time basis for one year. Number of working hours within a week may vary depending on the actual needs. Normally, the successful candidate will be required to work at a schedule arranged by the supervisor under 17 hours per week and under 68 hours in a specified 4 week period.
