21-20-00  DISTRIBUTION Back

A. System Function

The distribution system supplies warm air to the passenger cabin and the flight compartment. The avionics cooling system removes the warm air from the avionic bay.

B. System Components

The primary components of the system are the:

  • Check Valves
  • Distribution ducts
  • Low-level outlet ducts
  • High-level ducts
  • Pressure-relief valves
  • Air valves
  • Demister/foot-warmer selector-valves
  • Demisters
  • Foot-warmers
The primary components of the avionics cooling system are the:

  • Cooling fans
  • Speed sensors
C. System Operation (Ref. Fig. 1)

The air (from the air conditioning packs) flows through the components of the distribution system to the passenger cabin and the flight compartment. The components of the distribution system make sure that the supply of air is safe and at a satisfactory temperature.

The avionics cooling system gives a flow of air to the related instruments.
