A. System Function

The dc power control and indication system controls the operation of the dc supplies to the aircraft busbars.

B. System Components

The primary components of the system are the:

• Two Power Distribution Units (PDU) (Ref. Fig. 2)
• DC control panel (Ref. Fig. 1)
• Maintenance panel (Ref. Fig. 1 and Fig. 3)

C. System Operation (Ref. Fig. 4 and Fig. 8)

1. The system is divided into a left system and a right system. The system supplies the emergency, the essential and the non-essential busbars.
2. If a failure of the left or the right system occurs, the remaining system supplies the emergency and the essential busbars. The electrical power to the non-essential busbar is removed if a failure of the left or the right system occurs.
