The insulation gives acoustic and thermal insulation in the pressurized area of the fuselage. Insulation bags (Ref. Fig. 1) are used for this insulation, with nomex felt in some areas (where more insulation necessary, or where insulation bags cannot be used). Insulation blankets are used to give thermal insulation at the center of the wing front spar and above the cold air unit.
