A. System Function
The portable fire-extinguishing system lets the flight crew extinguish fires which occur in the pressurized cabin.
B. System Components
The primary components of the portable fire-extinguishing system are the portable fire extinguishers (Ref. Fig. 1).
C. System Operation
The portable fire-extinguishing system has hand-operated portable fire-extinguishers. An indicator disc, in the discharge head assembly, gives a visual indication when a portable fire extinguisher has been operated.
The portable fire extinguisher in the flight compartment is installed on a mounting bracket on the left rear bulkhead.
