A. System Function

The flight controls have these functions:
  • To control the aircraft in roll (ailerons), yaw (rudder) and pitch (elevator)
  • To give a warning to the flight crew when the aircraft is at or near a stall
  • To move the elevators to stop a stall
  • To control and operate the flaps
  • To control and operate the spoilers
  • To lock the controls to prevent damage from the wind
  • To give indications of the position, and the condition, of the controls.
The controls have system of rods, cables and quadrants to transmit the movement from the flight compartment to the related control surface.
