A. System FunctionThe take-off configuration-warning system (the system) gives a visual and audible warning.

The primary components of the system are the:
- Left condition-lever microswitch
- Right condition-lever microswitch
- Elevator trim microswitch
- Brakes-off microswitch
- Gust lock microswitch
- Left power-lever microswitch
- Right power-lever microswitch
- Take-off configuration-warning control-relay
- Take off configuration warning delay relay
- Take-off configuration-warning test-switch
C. System OperationIf a specified aircraft control or flight surface is in a position that is not safe for a take-off, the system gives a take-off configuration-warning. When this occurs, the system gives outputs to the:
- Flight-data acquisition unit 1UB1, to show that a take-off configuration warning has occurs (Ref. 31-31-00)
- Audio warning processor 1WU3, to give the flight crew an audible warning (Ref. 31-52-00)
- Central annunciator panel 1WQ1, to put on the red CONFIG caption. The red attention-getters flash (Ref. 31-51-00)
