A. System Function
The standby airspeed-indication system gives the flight crew an airspeed display.
B. System Components (Ref. Fig.1)
The primary component of the system is the Standby Airspeed Indicator (ASI).
C. System Operation (Ref. Fig. 2)
The standby ASI uses the pitot pressure and the static pressure or calculate the airspeed. The airspeed is then shown on the standby ASI.
