A. System Function
The Automatic Direction Finding (ADF) system uses Radio Frequency (RF) signals from a set ground station to measure the direction (bearing) to the ground station).
B. System Components
(1) There are two ADF sub-systems, the No.1 ADF system and the No.2 ADF system.
(2) The primary components of each ADF system are: (Ref. Fig. 1)
C. System Operation
The ADF system receives RF signals from a set ground station. It changes the RF signals to digital and analog signals and calculates the bearing.
