A. System Function

The passenger oxygen system supplies oxygen to the passengers:
  • When the flight crew makes a manual selection
  • When required for the therapeutic purposes

B. System Components

The primary components of the system are the:
  • Altitude compensator/ regulator
  • Cabin occupant oxygen-masks
  • Cylinder/ regulator assembly (Ref.35-10-00)
  • Manual Selector valve (Ref. 35-10-00)
  • Plug-in sockets
  • Pressure switch

C. System Operation (Ref. Fig. 1)

The system components keep and supply oxygen to the occupants of the cabin in an emergency. The supply of oxygen is controlled manually from the flight compartment (Ref. 35-10-00). The gage on the cylinder/ regulator assembly in the flight compartment shows the contents/ pressure of the oxygen cylinder. The CABIN OXYGEN caption on the central annunciator panel comes on when the passenger oxygen system is pressurized.
