A. General
The main entrance door is an entrance door and stair for the use of the passengers and the crew. The stairs are attached with hinges to the surround bottom structure of the door opening in the fuselage (Ref. 53-10-00). The entrance door is attached to the stairs. A handrail and cable give support to the stairs and the door, when they are in the open position.
The door has pneumatic seal that inflates to seal the pressurized compartment. It also has a speed lock which makes sure the door does not open in flight.
