General
The elevator and tab control the aircraft around the pitch axis. The left and the right elevator and tab assemblies are the same.

General
The elevator and tab control the aircraft around the pitch axis. The left and the right elevator and tab assemblies are the same.
Component Description and Operation (Ref. Fig. 1)
- Elevator
-The elevator is an aluminum alloy structure. Hinges attach it to the rear spar of the horizontal stabilizer. - Tab
- The tab has a spar with ribs attached to the trailing edge of the spar. The skin (which is in one piece) is riveted to the structure. A hinge, attached to the spar, connects the tab to the elevator trailing edge. Two tab operating arms are attached to the center ribs of the tab.
