    The leading edge gives an aerodynamic shape to the front of the wing.

    The primary components of each leading edge assembly are:
    • The skin
    • The nose ribs
    • The stiffeners
    • Two leading edge straps
    • A panel
    • A door
    Three leading edge assemblies are attached to the front spar of each wing as follows:
    • Inboard
    • Center
    • Outboard
    A pneumatic de-icer boot is attached to each leading edge assembly.
