A. System Function

The function of the propeller controlling system is to control:

• The blade pitch angle of the propellers
• The synchrophaser speed of the engines

B. System Components (Ref. Fig.1)

The primary components of the system are the:

• Unfeather pump
• Propeller governor
• Pitch control unit
• Synchrophaser
• Autofeather solenoid
• Oil transfer tube

C. System Operation (Ref. Fig. 2)

The system is operated through:

• A mechanical linkage from the POWER lever and the CONDITION lever in the flight compartment


• Electrical connections from the UNFEATHER switch on the center console and the PROP SYNCHRO switch on the roof panel
