The ignition system contains an ignition unit, two separate shielded ignition leads, two igniter plugs, and an auto-ignition switch. The ignition system needs 10 to 30 volts DC power for operation. The ignition system is controlled by a switch in the cockpit, by an electric speed sensitive switch in the IEC, or by a pressure switch in the propeller system if an engine shutdown occurs accidentally.
