Hot air is bled through a boss on the combustor plenum assembly and is sent through the system to supply the heat necessary for inlet anti-icing.
Compressor housing anti-icing is supplied by a continuous flow of hot air bled off the anti-ice system between the combustor plenum assembly and the anti-ice valve.
A switch in the cockpit controls the operation of the anti-ice valve. A tight in the cockpit comes on when the system is in operation.
