The lubricating oil tank assembly is found on the lower left side of the engine and holds six quarts of oil that can be used. It supplies oil to the oil pressure pump and collects oil from the scavenge pumps.

The dipstick on the oil tank cap indicates full with six quarts in the lubricating oil tank assembly and indicates add when there is five quarts. There are different marks for hot and cold oil conditions.

The lubricating oil tank assembly has places to install the oil to fuel cooler assembly, magnetic chip detector, oil temperature switch, oil temperature bulb, unfeathering pump supply fittings, aircraft oil cooler fitting, and a drain plug.
