    The flare dispenser system lets the aircrew drop marker and smoke flares.

    The primary components of the system are the:
    • Three flare dispenser units
    • Three RELEASE switches
    • Flare DISPENSERS ON/ OFF switch
    • FLARE 1 annunciator
    • FLARE 2 annunciator
    • FLARE 3 annunciator

  3. System Operation

    Flares are loaded from their stowage into the dispenser system by a crewman/ dispatcher who arms the system, using the arming switch, which shows the mission console operator that the flares are available for release.
