The system uses an infrared detector and its associated electronics to collect and convert infrared radiation to electronic signals. The system also uses a Charge Coupled Device (CCD) camera to collect and convert visible light to electronic signals. Infrared or visible light video can be selected for display on the FLIR monitor.
