There are two cartridges for each engine fire extinguisher. When the right FIRE EXT switch SHOT 1 is selected, the corresponding cartridge breaks the diaphragm at the discharge outlet of the No.2 bottle. The extinguishing agent is hence discharged to right engine. By selecting right FIRE EXT switch SHOT 2, the corresponding cartridge breaks the diaphragm at the discharge outlet of the No.1 bottle. The extinguishing agent is hence discharged to right engine.
